Most of the cloud based systems on the market today are DIY. Local reps may visit your location to sell you one of the various systems out there, but that is typically where their involvement ends. The host company will ship your system to you and expect you to program the menu, input your employees, add your discounts, and setup a table layout - not to mention install your own network and all of the hardware they send you in a box. That is not what you get with Bay Area Point of Sale. We will be with you every step of the way and will always monitor your support needs and fill any gaps that you may experience with Shift4 support after you start using your system. Shift4 has a great on-boarding experience to get your system programmed and you and your staff trained. We will monitor the menu programming and augment it to your needs after they finish with the setup. We will configure your terminals, handhelds, and kitchen display systems or printers to your specifications and setup and configure your network, Wifi, and an included cellular failover with no monthly fees. We will assist with employee setup and security groups. BAPOS will come onsite before launch of the system to meet with you and your staff about your needs and to deliver a test system to begin to explore. Along with a local Shift4 employee, we come onsite to install your system and test it fully. We will be at your location for your first 2 full days of use to train your staff and managers to use the system and aid you with shift and day closeout operations. After a few days of use, a followup meeting will be scheduled to go over any lingering issues and questions about reporting. From there, anytime you contact Shift4 support we receive notification and steps taken to resolve your issue. If a followup is needed or we just don't like how it was handled, we will reach out to you immediately to work with you or your staff to resolve the problem quickly. Any hardware failures are covered free of charge for life of the account and Shift4 will send you a replacement ASAP. We also keep mission critical parts and will bring you what you need while you wait on your replacement to arrive.
